Norton Firewall



To manually configure or verify the configuration of the Norton Internet Security Personal Firewall, follow these instructions:
  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Norton Internet Security, and then click Norton Internet Security Personal Firewall (or Norton Internet Security Suite) to open the Norton Internet Security console.

  2. Click Personal Firewall, and then click Configure.

  3. Click the Programs tab. Check to see that the applications in the table below are included in the Manual Program Control list by hovering your cursor over entries in the list to display their full file names.

    BBMonitor BBMonitor.exe
    Rapid-Emailer Rapid-Emailer.exe
    Desktop-3D Notes Desktop-3D Notes.exe
    POP-Stopper-IE POP-Stopper-IE.exe

  4. If any of these applications are not included in the list, click Add, locate the c:\Program Files\{application name} folder, select the application’s file name, and then change the Internet Access permission to Permit All. Repeat this step for each application that does not appear in the list.

Now your firewall is configured to allow your product to verify your registration key with our registration server.
 
 
Now restart your computer.
 




McAfee Firewall

To manually configure or verify the configuration of Personal Firewall Plus, follow these instructions:
  1. Click Start, click All Programs, point to McAfee, and then click McAfee Personal Firewall Plus.

  2. On the left side of the window, click Internet Applications. A list of applications and their permissions for accessing local networks and the Internet are displayed.

  3. Make sure that the following applications are included in the list of applications:
    Application Name File Name
    Speed Test Pro SpeedTestPro.exe
    BBMonitor BBMonitor.exe
    Rapid-Emailer Rapid-Emailer.exe
    Desktop-3D Notes Desktop-3D Notes.exe
    POP-Stopper-IE POP-Stopper-IE.exe


  4. If any of these applications are not included in the list, click New Allowed Application, locate the c:\Program Files\{application name} and then select the application file name and add it to the list. Repeat this step for each application that does not appear in the list.
  5. In the Permissions column make sure that Allow Full Access is displayed. If not, select the application in the list, and then click Allow Full Access under Change Permission To in the lower right-hand corner of the window.
Now your firewall is configured to allow BBMonitor to access the registration server.
 
    Now restart your computer.
